A quiet moment.

Earlier this week Ryan and I were in northern Maryland cleaning out the basement at his parents house. We took a break from cleaning to go outside and kick a soccer ball back and forth. It felt so amazing to be outside in the fresh air. Just before the sunset, I pulled a blanket out there while Ryan was wrapping things up. I stole a quiet moment alone to lay in the grass and look up through the trees, into the sky. It was a perfect and peaceful moment.

I wish I could go back to that exact place in time but the memory of it has been a comfort since being back in the city and being back at work. It was the kind of happy moment that makes everything seam bearable.

  1. I'm so happy to find you!! Every time, and each time, I see a picture of you, I think how I have never in my life seen a pair of eyes like yours. What a gift. (I love your new home and the blue in these pictures, I can't wait until our winter sky in Wisconsin is over)
